I first heard about Jesus Christ when I was around 7 years old; when, my parents took me to church for the first time. The Sunday School teacher told me that this man loved me so much that he died and spilled his blood on the ground to wash away my guilt, for any bad thing I had ever done. She said that all I had to do was ask him and he would come and live in me. I felt an awesome feeling as she told me about this. Later, I was swinging on an old saw horse swing, my Mom had told me that Jesus lived in the sky, which is called Heaven; so, I proceeded to try to make that swing reach Heaven. As I did, I called out to Jesus. No response. Then I screamed out to Jesus. No response. I began to cry, thinking that the teacher and my Mom had told me a lie. That's when He came to me. He wrapped His arms around me and entered into my heart. He has never left me and I will never forget the day I met Jesus. That was 61 years ago and I have spent my life getting to know all I can about my Father, Lord and Savior. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing comes by the "Word of the Lord." That is why I have accepted the awesome opportunity of serving our Lord Jesus Christ here at CCI. I want to to do all I can to help promote the teaching of His Word. Pastor Jimmy is feeding the poor; therefore, they will receive physical strength to make it into Jason's dream to teach each person Bible knowlege and care ministry.
