I had minimal interest in religion or the things of God prior to college. In college I began to explore a number of different philosophies and had begun to settle into an agnostic point of view, believing that everyone would get to their own heaven in their own way.
Then I met a girl that I became quite fond of, who later became my wife. She was a Christian who was searching in her own way, and when we started getting serious she began going to church, and I gladly followed. It was there that I began to here the Word of God preached and the Lord began to get my attention.
I remember very clearly the night finally broke though and removed the scales from my eyes, and I clearly saw Christ dying on the cross for MY sins, and I was saved with a very simple prayer, "I believe you, Lord."
For the last 20 years I have sought to serve the Lord as a husband, a father, a brother, and a member of the body of Christ. I have hills and valleys, I have been very close to the Lord and somewhat distant at times, but I have never once doubted that Jesus Christ has completely and utterly saved me by his all-sufficient grace.
